Well, hello there! Lovely to see you again. It's been a long time...
I am back in Iowa City now after spending a full week up in Milwaukee and Chicago. Gina was discharged from the hospital on Monday. We set up a bed for her in my parents' living room (so she wouldn't have to worry about stairs), and I slept on the couch there with her for several nights, playing nurse for her, until I had to come home. I am exhausted...
I feel weird about being here because I know she still needs so much help, but it's good to be home. Things like doing the dishes and going to play rehearsals are making me feel a little more normal, and get my mind off of things so I don't feel as guilty for leaving my wonderful parents alone to care for her. She cried when I left...and so did I.
Alex's aunt and uncle are in town, and it's so wonderful to see them. I wish we could spend more time with our families...
I have several interviews this week for various retail positions at the mall--how funny is that? (I've got my fingers crossed for Banana Republic. I could REALLY use that discount!)
Also, I just got a letter that I got accepted to the University of Iowa's Theatre department to finish my undergrad degree in Acting. I'm really looking forward to diving in come January. :)
