This past weekend I got a library card and checked out a DV camera, taught myself how to use it, shot my own audition for an Independent film, figured out how to edit it and add titles and credits, and uploaded it to the casting folks -- and it was all pretty easy! I could definitely get used to auditioning this way! (Hint, hint! ...To those reading this in LA and NYC!)

I also auditioned for and have now been cast as one of the lead roles in "Placing Out," a new play written by a brilliant young woman named Molly Gallentine here at the University of Iowa. The play is being directed by MFA candidate Joe Luis Cedillo (from the Valley, word) and will debut on Wednesday, November 19th at the Iowa City Public Library. Woo hoo!!!! :) Rehearsals start tomorrow night and I'm very excited.
