Hollywoodland or Bust
There's a freeway running through the yard...two of them, actually.

I’ve been a very busy little beaver lately.

In addition to committing to the improv and comedy writing seminar at The Second City in October, today I have also emailed three local filmmakers and two University of Iowa Theatre Department professors to begin making contacts, submitted to five different casting directors for upcoming Iowa and Midwestern film roles, and tonight am working on submissions I plan to mail to eight potential talent agencies in Chicago as well as one agency in Des Moines.  I submitted last week to another Des Moines agency…and they have already expressed interest in signing me (!).  For the moment I am keeping my options open, though, in order to make the most informed decision I can to choose the right agency (or agencies) for me.

Today I’m feeling extraordinarily hopeful.  Although this is physically the furthest away from Los Angeles I’ve been in five years, it is also the closest I’ve felt to actually making something happen.

Here’s to the future!  Fingers crossed!
