Wow, I've been slacking on the blogging lately.  My sincere apologies.  I guess I've been a little busy...

It's now 10pm and Alex and I just got home from our second weekend in Chicago in a row.  This weekend was incredibly fun and exhausting, with Suzanne's second shower, bachelorette dinner and party all taking place on Saturday.  We had a great time, but I unfortunately ended up with a touch of food poisoning last night and this morning.

I'm feeling much better now--thanks for asking.  :) 

I am beyond happy to be back home in Iowa City and able to sleep in my own bed again instead of on an air mattress in Suzy's living room.  Awesome...

SO.  Tomorrow is Alex's first day of his orientation for his teaching assistantship and I am SO EXCITED for him!  I'm a little sad that he won't be able to hang out with me 24 hours a day *every* day anymore, but I know we both have to get back to work now.  Sigh... 

But Alex is so cute--all nervous and excited for his classes and his new job.  I feel like a mom before my firstborn's first day of preschool and I'm just sick about it!  I can only imagine how HE must feel!  I'll let you know how it goes!
