Hollywoodland or Bust
There's a freeway running through the yard...two of them, actually.

Just for you, here's a photo that came installed as a sample photo on my new Dell laptop. Hilarious. I just had to share.

I'm very tired. I just finished writing a big paper that's due tomorrow for my Playscript Analysis class. I am so happy to be finished analyzing Oedipus The King for the semester, I can't even express it in words.

I'm so tired, but I just had to write a little blog tonight because I am so excited. Today I got a new agent and am THRILLED about it. I am now represented by the fabulous Deb Copeland at Copeland Creative Talent in Des Moines. I met Deb a few months ago when she was acting as a casting director for a film I auditioned for here in Iowa, and we totally hit it off. Deb also runs her own talent agency, and today, out of the blue, she contacted me and asked to represent me! (Yes, SHE called ME! That NEVER happens!) It's an informal agreement with no contract requirements, which makes me feel so safe (I realize that may sound backwards, but the last Iowa agent who wanted to represent me tried to get me to sign some ridiculous, strictly binding contract, with all kinds of crazy restrictions and non-competition clauses and stuff--needless to say, I told that dude to take a hike). Anyway, I will be listed on Copeland Creative's website for casting directors to search when they are looking for someone my "type." If I book something, Deb gets a cut. Period. It's just that simple. Love it.

Not only that, but I spoke with my Director friend (and BFF), Morgan Schechter-Shannyhooter-Hoo this afternoon, and we are going back into heavy pre-production for our short film, Everybody Loves Clark. We have a new producer on board, Miss Emma Loo Hoo, and we are in hot pursuit of funding for our little love child, Clark. Lots of excitement is in the works with this film, and we plan to shoot in Los Angeles this August.

Oh yeah, and my wonderful brother and his darling wife, Amy, got me the nicest pair of Uggs that have ever Ugged, for my big birthday that just passed. They came in the mail this afternoon and I have not taken them off since. I never thought I could hang with the Uggs--I had a hang up about them for so long--but these are super cute and SOOOO comfy and warm. I'm even thinking about wearing them to bed tonight. ;)

Obviously, because a photo is included with this blog, you probably won't be able to comment (annoying). My apologies. ...But thanks for reading! xoxo-
